Job Summary:
The Department of Energy is seeking a highly-qualified candidate to serve as the Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO). The prestigious, visible, and challenging position, located at the Department of Energy Headquarters in Washington, D.C., serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Energy in designing, developing and executing a human capital strategy for the Department. The CHCO is the senior official accountable for ensuring that the Department attracts, develops, and retains top talent. The CHCO is responsible for envisioning and overseeing transformational change to assure a high-performing human capital organization suited to the challenges of a 21st Century cabinet-level agency. The CHCO works with Departmental leaders to align human capital functions with the Department's overall strategic goals. The CHCO also serves as a member of the Federal Chief Human Capital Officers Council.
