Job Summary:
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is looking for a dynamic and energetic leader to join their Senior Executive Service (SES) Corps. The SES is comprised of the men and women charged with leading the continuing transformation of government. These leaders possess well-honed executive skills and share a broad perspective of government and a public service commitment which is grounded in the Constitution. This position is located in the Office of Audits, Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in Washington D.C. The incumbent will serve as one of two Deputy Assistant Inspector Generals for Audits (DAIGA) reporting to the Assistant Inspector General for Audits (AIGA). The OIG is responsible for conducting a wide range of audit activity covering OPM programs and administrative operations. This activity includes such diverse areas as audits of experience-rated and community-rated health plans participating in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), including audits of their health claims information systems; audits of agency compliance with laws and regulations; and performance audits of OPM programs that involve the range of the agency's responsibilities for employee benefits, retirement, employee development, and other personnel management activities.
