Job Summary:
This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of External Affairs, Office of Community Affairs (CA). Community Affairs develops, implements and evaluates the Consumer Financial Protection Bureaus (CFPB) programs, policies and systems relating to the promotion of vibrant communities that are consumer friendly and provide greater access to wealth building financial services for populations that have been marginalized. CA will also capture trend reporting by consumer and civil rights organizations and other neighborhood-focused nonprofits and support the integration of these early indicators across CFPB. You would serve as the Senior Advisor, Community Affairs, providing advice, recommendations and support to the Assistant and Deputy Director, Community Affairs. This position is being filled under CFPB's excepted service authority. Appointments under this authority will be made in the excepted service and do not convey competitive status. Employee may be subject to a two-year trial period.
