Job Summary:
The incumbent of this position serves as the Associate General Counsel (AGC) for the Technology Programs Law Division in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The General Counsel, who is appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, is the Department's chief legal advisor and principal legal advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security and, as such, has final authority and responsibility for legal policy determinations within the Department and its components. The Technology Programs Law Division within OGC is responsible for providing legal advice to the Department, in particular the Science and Technology Directorate (S&T;), Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), the OGC Intellectual Property Program, and the Office of Health Affairs (OHA).
