Job Summary:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recruiting for a new director of its Center for Global Health, with a budget of more than $2 billion, offices in more than 60 countries, and a broad and deep portfolio of programs throughout the world. The Director will oversee all aspects of global health at CDC and be an integral part of the management team of the organization. This position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES), a group of senior government leaders who possess a diverse portfolio of experience and the strong skills required to lead across organizations. As an SES member, you will influence the direction of innovation and transformation of the federal government and lead the next generation of public servants. The position of Director of the Center for Global Health (CGH) is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and reports directly to the Director. This incumbent of this position serves as a senior staff member who plays a key role in the enhancement of CDC's leadership in core public health sciences, centered on CDC's global health activities.
