Job Summary:
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) Chief Counsel is the chief legal officer of TTB and is ultimately responsible for directing the activities of the TTB Office of Chief Counsel and for ensuring that all legal matters arising from TTBs execution of its mission are handled in a professional manner consistent with the standards of the Treasurys Legal Division. The principal clients of the office include the TTB Administrator (who reports to the Office of the Assistant Secretary (Tax Policy)), Deputy Administrator, Assistant Administrator (Headquarters Operations), Assistant Administrator (Field Operations), Assistant Administrator (Management)/Chief Financial Officer, and the Assistant Administrator (Chief Information Officer). The Chief Counsel routinely consults with and assists the Administrator with a view to furthering the policies and programs of the Department of the Treasury and those of TTB.
