Job Summary:
This position is a Term appointment not to exceed (NTE) 13 months, but MAY BE extended up to four (4) years. This position is being concurrently advertised under Merit Assignment Procedures (MAP). Those who wish to be considered under MAP must apply to Announcement # NTIA-OTIA-2013-0004. This position is located in the Office of Telecommunications and Information Applications (OTIA). This position is located in the Office of Telecommunications and Information Applications (OTIA), Infrastructure Division. OTIA is responsible for administering NTIA grant and financial assistance programs, including the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program. The incumbent works under the general policy, program, and administrative supervision of the OTIA Deputy Associate Administrator. The incumbent is a principal in the development of policies and activities that promote the development and implementation of BTOP's broadband deployment and adoption goals as well as the grant-making efforts. In this capacity and under the direction of the Deputy Associate Administrator and team leaders, the incumbent performs high-level analysis necessary for the effective evaluation, award, and monitoring of BTOP grants and other efforts.
