Job Summary:
The Division Director is responsible for fostering innovative concepts, identifying critical program goals and objectives , and executing an integrated program of basic research, applied research and advanced technology development in the science and technology (S&T;) for ISR, C4, Firepower, Maneuver, Force Protection, Human Performance and Training, and Logistics. He/she is responsible, developing an S&T; program to address these objectives, executing this program and setting budget priorities, and transitioning the resulting technology to the Navy and Marine Corps. The Director also serves as expert consultant and advisor in these areas of S&T; management to the Chief of Naval Research and other top professional and military personnel in the Department of the Navy, the Department of Defense, other government agencies, industry and academia. This position is interdisciplinary and will be filled at one of the following occupational series: General Engineer (0801) or Physical Science (1301).
